What's Fresh

Art Week 2018

Dear Parents,

We take this opportunity to invite you all to be a part of the upcoming Arts Week starting from the 8th October till 12th October. This year we have planned a collaborative art activity involving the whole École family including the students, teachers, parents and staff.

Theme - “My City - My Identity”

The word ‘identity’ in the theme “My City - My Identity” refers primarily to the identity of people living in the city environment. The well-being and satisfaction of citizens and visitors is strongly influenced by the image of a city or place, to which monumental or iconic buildings make a great contribution. This will also include food, people, attractions, celebrations, travel etc. Any one or two aspects can be visually represented through artwork.

Date - 8th October, 2018

Time - 10:30 am to 12:00 noon

Venue - MPH and Early Years

Supplies and material - The basic supplies will be provided by the School - like a small canvas board, acrylic paints, oil pastels, pencils, erasers etc. However, If you wish to, you can bring your own stationery kits too. Any colour medium can be used.

References - You can plan your work and prepare in advance. However, you cannot carry the references to the venue.

Key points to remember while creating the artwork:

Creativity - unique, detailed and interesting

Originality - freshness, independent thought and constructive imagination

Composition - unity in variety, focal point, use of space
